SITUATION
Its worldwide
representation of the development banking system is the WFDFI major
strength, while its most glaring weaknesses are the lack of
commitment and adherence on the part of its members and its limited
budget, together with the fact that the existence since 1996 of a
Secretariat that rotates among the Associations has made it
impossible to obtain continuing support from a host country or from
an executive body that would give a measure of continuity to its
tasks of representation, joint action, programmed activities and
services for the members that are its reason for existing.
