INTERNATIONAL COOPERATION
The WFDFI will encourage the execution and broadening of the
collaboration and reciprocal assistance agreements that already
exist among regional associations in order to help strengthen those
associations and its own national member institutions. In that
connection, the World Federation will cover areas like the
following:

Events
-
It will sponsor events organized by the regional associations of
development banks that do not entail any financial obligations
for the WFDFI (at least one event per region per year); and

It will encourage
each regional association to invite the others to participate,
insofar as possible, as speakers or by being represented at
their Annual General Assemblies, and the respective member banks
and institutions to be represented at seminars and technical
events in other regions.

Information
Clearing House.
In order to expand Cooperation among Development Banks through WFDFI and the Regional Development Banking Associations, the
establishment of a “WFDFI Information Clearing House” has
already been proposed.
In this framework, development banks should assist each other with
policy formulation, strategy development, restructuring, managerial
and operational processes and other functions. An exchange of
experiences and views on practices, policies, risks, organization,
and institution-building could be systematically and periodically
supported and facilitated by the World Federation and the regional
associations.
Similarly,
expert-groups and work-groups, as well as committees, can be organized
and issues of common concern could be explored, studied, and acted
upon, with the resulting conclusions to be disseminated
-- through the regional associations -- to all development
banks for their benefit..

Directory.
This WFDFI publication will be updated with the collaboration of
the regional associations, for a future new edition. It will also be
made available at the WFDFI web page.
